Even in an economy of uncertainty, there is one thing that is certain: 2010 is the year to take risks.
Yes, I said take risks. It is through risk taking that you will succeed. Here are some risks I think you should take:
- Ask your clients what they really think of you.
If you are lucky they will tell you. Through this process you will be able to improve your service and clear up any miscommunications.
While some people would rather do anything than stand up in front of a group, being a speaker allows you to establish yourself as the expert in your field.
Instead of sabotaging yourself thinking he/she would never take your call – make the call. See what happens.
If you aren’t losing some deals, it means you aren’t pricing yourself correctly and you aren’t reaching for bigger and better opportunities.
There has never been a more important time to let your clients and prospects know you are alive and well and doing business. Spend your marketing dollars wisely, but spend them you must.
- Befriend your competition
Just because a company is in the same industry as you doesn’t mean you can’t help each other. Explore the options. You may find that you each specialize in a different area of your industry and can even act as referral sources for each other.
On June 10, 2010 take a day away from the office and don’t make any client appointments.
Come visit The Perfect Promotion at the CT Business Expo – no risk involved!
It will be a day of education and networking that will be beneficial for all.
And if you think you may want to exhibit at the Expo, why not attend the Pre-Expo Exhibitor Best Practices Training and Opportunities Session on March 17.
